Boy Scoot Hopkins is the moscow mule drinking lo-fi loner project of France’s new modern crooner. Working off his own productions and arrangements, he is set free to ponder and commiserate his diary-entry ruminations on loneliness, and daily dramas of despair, from superficiality, lovers, to reality’s blunt outlook. Although it is all perfectly suited for bedroom listening, and recorded appropriately in his bare bedroom-sized studio (equipped with a shabby bed of course), it also owns a swagger befitting for city-life strolling, and restless teenage slumber parties.

« Under The Sun Of Satan » EP follows a laundry list of recordings from gothic-gospel dirges to mini-pop masterpieces, but is his first physical release; a concise C10 cassette on Euphonic Rec. Like the perfect peephole, « Under The Sun Of Satan » is the obscured, yet revelatory introduction to the world of Boy Scoot Hopkins.
